First aid, the way it should be. Practical and parent-friendly to help you feel calm, confident and capable when it counts.

How it started
Cradle & Kin was born over a coffee catch up when Maggie was heavily pregnant and Zoe was deep in the newborn haze. We sat and chatted for hours about the joys and challenges that come with welcoming a baby into the world.
As healthcare professionals, we realised how lucky we were to feel confident recognising illness and injury, and knowing exactly what to do in an emergency. We also knew that for many new parents, those same situations could feel incredibly scary.
Somewhere between the coffees and baby chats, one of us joked, "Maybe we should teach first aid to new parents!" It seemed like a crazy idea at the time, but the more we talked, the more it made sense.
If we were going to do it, we wanted to do it differently.
We wanted to create the kind of first aid course we would have wanted to attend, a warm, welcoming space where pregnant couples, new parents and grandparents could build life saving skills over a hot drink, a few laughs and absolutely no fear mongering.
We wanted first aid to be fun, memorable and engaging, because we know that's how learning sticks.
Fast forward a few years, and we couldn't be more proud of the business we've created. Today, we're privileged to be part of something that truly matters. Helping families across Western Australia feel calm, confident and capable when it counts.
A mum, foodie, lover of a good chat, and one half of Cradle & Kin Family First Aid.
I've been a Registered Paramedic for 13 years and still work on the frontline in the ambulance, caring for patients across Perth. I hold a Bachelor of Science (Paramedicine) and feel privileged to work in pre-hospital care, supporting people through some of life's tougher moments.
Alongside my clinical work, I've also built a career in education. I hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and have taught paramedic students at Edith Cowan University, as well as qualified paramedics through my work with St John College of Pre Hospital Care.
Through Cradle & Kin, I feel incredibly lucky to combine my frontline experience with my love of teaching, creating education that's fun, engaging and easy to understand.
A mum, Mexican food enthusiast, romantasy lover, and the other half of Cradle & Kin.
I've been a dual Registered Nurse Paramedic for over 11 years and hold a double degree in Nursing and Paramedicine. I still work on the frontline in the ambulance and, because apparently one job wasn't enough, I also pick up the occasional nursing shift.
My passion for first aid began long before my healthcare career. Growing up through Surf Life Saving, I competed in first aid competitions around Australia and somehow ended up becoming a six-time Australian First Aid Champion, a pretty fun claim to fame.
First aid has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, so getting to share that passion through Cradle & Kin feels pretty special. Nothing beats seeing parents leave our courses feeling confident and empowered to put their new skills into practice.
